On the odd occasions that it doesn't, you're not at the end yet

No news is not good news
What drives humananity's insatiable urge for the new and different? Can't we just settle for what we've got and leave innovation to take care of itself?
No.
Adapt and survive - to abandon the hunt for innovation is to go against our irrepressible instincts for discovery of new ways to influence the world which we inhabit as a species no more than a newborn but already reaching out for objects to try.
Hand in hand with this noble innocence, it's our destiny to watch crap TV and believe adverts which appeal to our craving for novelty. We know the content is either vacuous or wrong but the style of delivery is interesting.
The veneer becomes the substance. We inevitably foster creativity, crass or constructive. Wheat does not come without chaff and humans do not come without hype.
